Directions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a large mixing bowl, mix ground beef and ground sausage. Add bread crumbs and egg; mix well. Shape into mini meatballs, about ½ oz. each by weight. Place into a lightly oiled hotel pan. Bake for 15 minutes and pour off any excess fat. -
Step 2
To the hotel pan, add the Ro*Tel Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies, red wine, onion, garlic, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until an internal temperature of 165°F is reached.

For Rice
Cook long grain rice according to package instructions with the addition of turmeric to impart a golden color. -
Step 4
Serving Suggestion
Place approximately 2-4 tablespoons of rice in the bottom of a martini glass; place 3 meatballs with sauce over the rice.
